Thank you very much for the seminar. It was veryinteresting and useful. I learnt a lot of interesting information about
assessment which I will certainly use in my teaching practice.
I find very interesting ABCD method of assessment. I willplan my lessons according to this model. It will be easier to plan tasks and
aims to this or that exercise because sometimes it is so difficult to assess
the students. They often ask to explain the mark. Now I can do it very easily.
I hope that Albina will share her interesting ideasand methods very soon with us. Thank you very much!

I would like to thankthe coordinators of the seminar"A.B.C.D. model for writing learning
outcomes" the tutor Albina Kassenova and the organizer of the master-
class Elena Vladimirovna for the great pleasure of practice in thinking. It is
very useful for teachers all day long working at school. The seminar was very
useful for me .  I'm really glad that
you've given me an opportunity of taking part   in
seminar, Albina. I have never heard about the A.B.C.D. model.

I see now, that   thesystem of assessment is an important part of educational process and the
educator should know its mechanisms. I hope. the workshop will continue
its existence later. Thanks a lot, dear colleages.

Hello! I'dlike to say that I'm really glad to have a chance to participate in this course
of 6 days seminar. It is always important for teachers to refresh and deepen
their knowledge in methodology to make the process of teaching more productive.
I think, all the information we've learnt from the seminar is up-to-date and
interesting enough. And the best thing about it is that it is practically
useful and can be applied by everyone in his/her every day work. And it is
always much more interesting and challenging to have not only theory to learn
but also some practical tasks! It helps to understand and remember the things
better.  Now I know more about writing
learning objectives, their types and specific characteristics. A/B/C/D
structure is really new for me. I have only 4 years of teaching experience and
every time developing a lesson plan, I make sure how it is difficult and
important to set a good objective. Also doing activities I had an opportunity
to read the ideas of other people (participants of the seminar) who are more
experienced than I am, to see different points of view, some examples of ways
to teach/ explain/motivate.  I'd like to
thank you for that all.

I really like the proverb "Live and learn". It's been a very nice and useful experience.
First of all, I've learnt about Bloom's Taxonomies (what a good thing, by the way!) Then, the knowing of ABCD model makes such thing as learning objectives clear for me(and I feel more confident as a teacher now).
I can't say it was easy for me to do the tasks (I even felt that I'm stupid sometimes, especially in comparison with very skillful teachers here), but it was interesting and challenging.
The one thing I can ask for the future seminars: if it possible, leave your comments on all our practical works. It was very useful for me to compare my answers and the keys to "Writing Objectives: The Good, the Bad and the Ugly". On the 4th day I did the task but I don't know how well or badly I did it. It would have been interesting if I had seen your comment on it.
Albina Bakytbekovna, thank you for work, not only interesting but practical and very useful seminar.

Dear Julia,

thank you so much for your informative feedback and suggestions. I did not comment to your assignment for the day 5, as you did it very well. I gave feedback only to those who still needed to clarify their ABCD. Thank you again, you are demonstrating your interest in getting a feedback thus very valuable for me.

First ofall, thanks to the master and participants of the seminar. It is good
opportunity to participate in helpful seminars, which involve and produce
results. The seminar’s participation gave much useful in planning our classes.
I can confidently say that I’ve taken the worthwhile ideas to promote my
lessons by correct goal setting.  ABCD
model method of setting learning objectives allows the teacher to determine of
seconds the quality of their lessons or lessons of their colleagues, to call disadvantages
and highlight the pros. It helps in a short time to put the right learning
objective as from the teacher’s position and the student’s position. The
D-degree and C-condition components helps to create the success criteria, the
B-behavior helps to understand the activity for executing. All components of
the ABCD-model help the teacher to go to strictly designated purpose and there
is no reason for the failure to reach it, because all problems (lack of time, students’
misunderstanding, poor exercises in a textbook) are easily overcome.  To all oflearned with you, Albina, I would like to discuss in details about the
assessment of students’ achievement in the classroom and at the end of the learning
period. To train in creation of appropriate criteria and descriptors of
criteria. So I look forward to the next your workshop. I think you will not
refuse.  Thank you for methodologically-constructed properly work with theparticipants.:good:

Well, it was my first experience in such a seminar. And I’m so inspired to continue our hard but interesting teaching work. Though it’s still winter and we’ve got the vitamin deficiency, we’ll cope with the difficulties face to face. And now, seriously, I’d like to admit the fact that the each participant has gained something useful and valuable, taking part in the seminar, in spite of the fact that some has known something about «A.B.C.D.model for writing learning outcomes». For example, there is a Difference Between Goals and Objectives: Goals are broad and abstract, objectives are narrow and concrete. If we believe that powerful learning involves changing our students’ understandings of core concepts and ways of interpreting the world around them, we need to focus considerably more attention on what their understandings and working models are, both prior to and during learning. In our teaching and our assessments, we should encourage rather than discourage surface approaches to learning, in effect allowing students to simply comply with task and course requirements and avoid changing their conceptions of core ideas. Now we’ll try think over more attentively to create learning situations that allow students to work on discrepancies in their conceptions in a supportive environment that encourages risk-taking and exploration. So we should understand what we want our students to learn and be able to do should guide the choice and design of the assessment. And when objectives and assessments are misaligned, many students will focus their efforts on activities that will lead to good grades on
assessments, rather than focusing their efforts on learning what we believe is important. In addition, there are many different types of activities that can be used to assess students’ proficiency on a given learning objective, and the same activity can be used to assess different objectives. To ensure more accurate assessment of student proficiencies, we should use different kinds of activities so that students have multiple ways to practice and demonstrate their knowledge and skills. Of course, I’m very grateful to Albina
Bakytbekovna who provides us with so much inspiration.

Dear Elena Vladimirovna and Albina Bakitbekovna,
I would like to thank you for your time and sharing your knowledge and experience. It was very informative and interesting. Very useful for my work. The seminar was not so long but you engaged to give us all the information we need. Now I know how to write learning objectives with A.B.C.D. format. It was new for me. It also covered such topics as learning objectives and assessment which is very important to achieve good results. Also, it was interesting to read other participants' opinion about their work and experience. I would recommend the seminars on these site to my colleagues and look forward to the day when I can attend one of your workshops again.
Wish you success, Mahabbat Alhatova.

I think it’snecessary for every teacher to learn modern methods of teaching to raise
students’ motivation and level of knowledge. So I decided to take part in this
on-line seminar. Once more time I remembered about different types of
assessment, how to plan students’ activities according to Bloom’s taxonomy (
from simple tasks to tasks of high level). To improve the process of learning
it’s important to remember that assessment, learning objectives and
instructional strategies are aligned. Then doing the exercise I’d the
opportunity to practice in writing learning objectives according to A.B.C.D.
model. It’s really useful and effective exercise. Then I wrote A.B.C.D.
learning objectives myself and also some activities. Thanks dear Albina for
your attention and advice how to improve them. Now  I see that it’s better to use strong verbs.
The learning objectives should be observable, measurable.  I’m going to use  the got knowledge in my
practice.
